Back to regular streaming! Next livestream is now May 22nd with Ugress.TV #046.
That stream was originally planned for May 15th, but preparing the vinyl release of The Lost World needed extra time, so I had to push streaming one week back. After that, Ugress.TV #047 is on June 11, and then:
- May 22, Ugress.TV #046
- June 11, Ugress.TV #047
- July 17, Ugress.TV #048
- Aug 21, Ugress.TV #049
- Sep 25, Ugress.TV #050
- Oct, Nov, Dec streams TBA
And here is now the release plan for The Lost World. The double vinyl LP and extended edition digital soundtrack will drop on October 16th.
The vinyl then has four sides, each side mapping onto one of the four main chapters of the story. I’ll then drop each of these sides as a digital EP over the next four months, with planned livestream performances of those film segments, pending permission from the film rights holder.
Why split into four?
I’m splitting these releases and livestreams into four segments to make the drops and streams more digestible (the story and the film are really long!), to help promote the vinyl album with multiple drops, and also because this echoes the original story, which was first serialized in The Strand Magazine in 1912.
Then finally in October, the full complete soundtrack is released in an extended edition together with the vinyl. That means, parallel to regular Ugress.TV livestreams and new material, this will also happen now:
- June 5, The Lost World – Part 1: London Rumours
- July 7, The Lost World – Part 2: Amazon Expedition
- Aug 14, The Lost World – Part 3: The Lost Plateau
- Sep 19, The Lost World – Part 4: Jurassic Modernity
- Oct 16, The Lost World – double vinyl LP release
- Oct 16, The Lost World – extended edition digital release
- Oct 18, The Lost World – film concert – Bergen International Film Festival
For all of this to flow smoothly I really need to finish and send off the vinyl to print, so that’s why this Friday’s livestream has been postponed one week. Thanks for your patience, and see you May 22nd. Can’t wait to get back to regular streams.
