The Lost World is a silent sci-fi classic from 1925. Daring adventurers explore a mysterious plateau of pre-historic monsters deep in the Amazon jungle, following the cryptic notes of a previous lost expedition.
The film is based on Arthur Conan-Doyles best-selling novel, and has astonishingly innovative monster animation, thrilling action, exotic locations, and surprisingly bitter-sweet romance. The Lost World is the mother of all monster and disaster movies.
I’m performing my brand new music to the film, live in the cinema. The music references a vast span of film music history, starting out with seemingly traditional classical film music, and then as the expedition travels backwards in time into the prehistoric past, the music goes the opposite direction into more and more futuristic and electronic genres.
The film concert premiered at Oslo Silent Film Festival 2026, and went on to showings at Tromsø Silent Film Days 2026 and Bergen International Film Festival 2026.
The soundtrack will be released on double vinyl and digital streaming on October 16th, 2026.
