The next Ugress album Retrotopia arrives on October 4th, 2024.
Retrotopia explores the evolution of future visions from early science fiction to solarpunk, through a narrative-driven multiverse. It combines speculative fiction, sci-fi music videos, and live media-art performances. The project reflects on themes of memory, technology, and the quest for the “one” definitive future.
Leading up to the album there will be regular singles and livestreams throughout spring and summer. The first single Life as Frozen Frame is already out, with next single drop scheduled for April 19th, and then livestream episode 31 on April 26th.
